Title 10 VEHICLES AND TRAFFIC*
Chapter 10.14 RESIDENTIAL PERMIT PARKING
10.14.020 Designation of area.
The city commission may establish a particular area as a residential
permit parking district upon completion of the following:
A. The city
traffic engineer and/or city police chief, or their designees, shall conduct a
study to ascertain whether parking spaces on the streets within a particular
residential area are used for the parking of vehicles not belonging to residents
to such an extent as to create congestion, excessive noise, air pollution, and
cause the residents of the area unreasonable burdens in gaining access to their
residences; and
B. If the majority of the contiguous property owners to the
streets in such an area, or portion thereof, do not object to an establishment
of a permit parking area, the city commission may then establish such area as a
residential permit parking district. (Ord. 1751-2003 §2(part),
2003).
