Chapter 15.44 FENCES*
15.44.030 Corner lot fence restrictions.
It is unlawful to construct, alter or maintain any fence greater than
twenty-four inches in height between the front street line of any corner lot in
this city and the front building line of such lot. It is also unlawful to
construct any such fence between the side street line of such corner lot and the
side building line of the lot, except that nothing contained in this chapter
shall be construed as limiting or preventing the erection, alteration or
maintenance of any fence between the side street line and the side building line
or along the side street line which is no closer to the front street line than
twice the distance required by Title 17 as a front yard setback for such lot. A
woven wire or other fence not more than forty-eight inches in height, and with
openings therein of not less than eighty percent of surface area, may be
constructed between the side and front street line and the side and front
building line. The openings in such fence shall be maintained in such manner as
to insure that the openings in such fence shall at all times be no less than
eighty percent of surface area. (Prior code § 17-14).
