City Facilities:
The City of Clovis operates a number of facilities in the community, and we are taking extra precautions to ensure our facilities are sanitized. If facilities will be closed, they will be listed here.
The City of Clovis is responding to the various orders, recommendations and guidance issued by the federal government and the State of New Mexico relating to COVID-19. Public Safety, including police, fire, EMS and emergency management, public works functions, including wastewater, landfill, streets and traffic departments, CATS, and the Clovis Municipal Airport, will continue to function as normal, with heightened awareness regarding separation of staff from the public where possible. The following measures are currently in place:
City Hall
While City Administration, Emergency Management, Finance, Purchasing, and Human Resources are currently open to the public, we recommend that any business that can be done via phone and email be done that way. The following is contact information for these departments:
City of Clovis Finance
The Finance window is currently open to the public. Please observe the distancing markers placed on the floor to maintain social distancing while waiting in line. The department will continue to accept payments via mail, and online through the City of Clovis’ website Bill Pay Portal or through the drop box located on the west side of City Hall, at 321 N. Connelly. Those who usually pay cash are asked to get a money order before dropping off payments in the drop box and place it in the drop box together with information regarding their account.
Police Department
The Clovis Police Department front lobby is closed and fingerprinting services suspended to prevent the possibility of exposure of COVID-19. The police department encourages the public to file police reports by telephone, and contact the Police Department Dispatch Center to let them know an officer can call them. The police department continues to protect everyone during this time and the assistance of the community is greatly appreciated. Please call (575) 769-1921 or email police@cityofclovis.org.
Clovis Fire Department Stations
While all fire stations continue to provide emergency services and paramedic service to Clovis area residents, all stations are closed to the public. Residents paying a bill should place this in the drop box at City Hall, 321 N. Connelly, or online at www.cityofclovis.org. Residents wishing to contact the Clovis Fire Department for non-emergency calls are asked to please call (575) 769-7814 or email fire@cityofclovis.org.
Public Works Department
While Public Works continues to provide full services to the public, the Public Works office is closed to the public. To contact the City of Clovis Public Works Department, please call (575) 769-2376 or email publicworks@cityofclovis.org.
Building Safety
While the Building Safety facility located at 1221 Mitchell Street is closed to the public, City of Clovis staff will continue to issue permits, conduct inspections and provide code enforcement. The public is asked to please call (575) 769-7829 or email buildingsafety@cityofclovis.org for assistance. Planning & Zoning requests will be fulfilled by calling (575) 763-9639 or emailing lgordon@cityofclovis.org.
Clovis Area Transit System (CATS)CATS top priority is to continue service to the extent possible and to keep passengers and employees healthy and safe. The City of Clovis is asking all patrons to abide by the guidance issued by the Center for Disease Control to effectively slow the spread of COVID-19. Providing a safe transit journey requires a partnership with our passengers. CDC posters have been placed in all buses along with additional advisories from the NM Department of Health. All riders are required to wear a face mask while being transported. IF YOU ARE NOT FEELING WELL AND SHOWING SYMPTOMS, DO NOT TAKE PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION. First, call the NM COVID-19 hotline at 1-855-600-3453 or your healthcare provider before you leave your home and follow their guidance. The lobby of the CATS building is closed to the public. Parks & Recreation Department
The Parks & Recreation facility located at 500 Sycamore is closed to the public. Area residents wishing to book City of Clovis facilities or contact Parks and Recreation should call (575) 769-7870 or email parks@cityofclovis.org.
City of Clovis Senior Services
Friendship Center is open to the public Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Seniors needing Friendship Center staff are asked to please call (575) 769-7913 or email seniorservices@cityofclovis.org. Curry Residents Senior Meals Association (CRSMA) will remain open for Grab and Go lunches for seniors at the west alley door. To contact CRSMA call (575) 762-9405.
Clovis Municipal CourtThe Court is open to the public with normal service hours as directed by the New Mexico Supreme Court. Please wear a face mask when visiting Municipal Court. If you are having health concerns, please contact municipal court at (575) 769-7860 or email court@cityofclovis.org.
Clovis-Carver LibraryThe Library is currently open for normal business hours. Patrons are asked to enter the building through the doors on Main Street and exit through the doors on 7th Street. Patrons are asked to return all library materials in the drop boxes outside. No fines will be charged on audio-visual items being returned outside. Patrons are limited to 30 minutes inside the library for all activities. Patrons are asked to observe social distancing while in the library. Patrons are allowed to check out 5 items per card. Study rooms, the Ingram Room and the Genealogy Room are unavailable at this time. No notary services are available. Patrons loitering int he building will be asked to leave. Anyone needing to speak with the Library staff regarding services is asked to please call (575) 769-7840 or email library@cityofclovis.org.
Clovis Civic Center

Clovis Municipal Airport
The Airport will remain open to the public with normal service hours.
Animal ControlWhile the Animal Control department will be closed to the public, requests to view or adopt animals can be made on an appointment basis by calling (575) 769-7893 or email animalcontrol@cityofclovis.org.
Clovis City Commission Meetings
City of Clovis Commission meetings are aired live on the City of Clovis’ website www.cityofclovis.org and Facebook page City of Clovis, NM. The City of Clovis would respectfully ask the public to avoid attendance at the City Commission meetings, and would ask anyone having a question during the meeting regarding an agenda item to call (575) 763-9200.
