COUNTY COMMISSIONERS, CITY AND VILLAGE COUNCILORS/COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS POTENTIAL LOCATIONS FOR PROPOSED BEHAVIORAL HEALTH FACILITY

The County Commissions of Curry, De Baca, Quay, Roosevelt and Union, together with the City Councils/Commissions of Clovis, Fort Sumner and Portales, will be meeting at 11 :00 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 2, 2023, with Initium Health, for a tour of the HOPE Children’s Center in Clovis, followed by a lunch meeting at the Clovis Civic Center, located at 801 Schepps Blvd., Clovis, to discuss potential locations for the proposed Behavioral Health Facility. The discussion regarding the proposed location for the 48 bed 65,000 sq. ft. facility will be led by James Corbett, M.Div., J.D., Principal with Initium Health.

To date, $10 million dollars has been received from the State of New Mexico towards the construction of the $38 million dollar proposed Behavioral Health facility.

A quorum of commissioners/councilors from each of the governing bodies may be present.
