City/EPCOG Provide Update on CARES Funding Assistance for Families
The City of Clovis, in partnership with Eastern Plains Council of Governments (EPCOG), has assisted Clovis families impacted by COVID-19 with mortgage/rental/utility and child care assistance under the Local Government CARES Act. This funding was provided by the State of New Mexico-Local Government Division under the Department of Finance and Administration. The City of Clovis contracted EPCOG to process applications for the grant assistance program. During the application period 98 applications were recommended for payment.
The Clovis City Commission allocated $70,000.00 to help assist Clovis families. The funds have now been expended, and the application period has closed. The most requested item was rental/mortgage assistance. Please see below for information regarding the funding totals:
