City of Clovis appoints Dan Heerding to Emergency Management Position
Mr. Dan Heerding has been appointed to the position of Emergency Management Director for the City of Clovis effective Monday, November 4th, 2013.
Mr. Heerding, a retired USAF veteran, is a graduate of the Grand Canyon University of Phoenix where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety and Emergency Management, and the Glendale Leadership Academy for Development where he studied Safety and Emergency Management.
“I am pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Heerding to the position of Emergency Management Director for the City of Clovis,” advised Clovis City Manager Joe Thomas, Thursday. “The position of Emergency Management Director is a key position in preparing the community for any natural or manmade disaster. Mr. Heerding brings with him the knowledge and experience needed to take the City of Clovis’ Emergency Management Department forward in addressing any future challenges the community may face.”
