City of Clovis Receives Grant Funding to Improve Recycling Program

City of Clovis Receives Grant Funding to Improve Recycling Program

Today the City of Clovis Public Works Department was awarded grant funding in the amount of $84,475.00 for its recycling program coordinated by the Clovis Regional Landfill. This funding will allow the City to replace the existing roll-off containers located at Albertsons and Walmart with new containers, along with adding a third recycling convenience location within the city limits.

Recycling is an important part of the services offered at the Clovis Regional Landfill to both save valuable space in the landfill and fulfill the community’s desire to recycle. The recycling program currently takes #1 and #2 plastics, cardboard, and tin cans. The community is encouraged to take part in this program by visiting the recycling convenience locations located at Albertsons and Walmart. The public will be notified of further developments to this program as the grant funding is expended.

For more information regarding our recycling program, please call Public Works at (575) 769-2376.
