City of Clovis Recognizes Nurses Through Proclamation

City of Clovis Recognizes Nurses Through Proclamation

Released 2:51p.m., Friday, May 20, 2022

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, Clovis Mayor Mike Morris and members of the Clovis City Commission presented a proclamation to nurses at Plains Regional Medical Center proclaiming the month of May as “Nurse’s Month” in the community to recognize nurses for the tireless work that they provide area residents.

While most nurses work in acute-care settings like hospitals, nurses’ expertise and skills extend well beyond hospital walls. Working independently and with other health care professionals, nurses promote the health of individuals, families, and communities as a whole. Millions of Americans turn to nurses for delivery of primary health care services, health care education, health advice and counseling. Nurses are critical links in maintaining a cutting-edge health care system.

“Nurses provide essential care for Clovis residents to ensure the health of our community members,” commented Clovis Mayor Mike Morris. “The City of Clovis would like to recognize the many selfless acts of service Clovis area nurses provide to area residents every day and for providing professional and compassionate care in responding to the medical needs of our community.”
