City of Clovis to Hold Great American Clean-Up on Saturday, May 7, 2022

The City of Clovis will be hosting their annual spring clean-up called the “Great American Clean-Up” on Saturday, May 7, 2022, beginning at 8:00a.m. at the Parks and Recreation Department, located at 500 Sycamore Street in Clovis. Residents and visitors of all ages are invited to participate. Learn more information and pre-register at www.cityofclovis.org/cleanup. 

“We would like to encourage the public to volunteer their time to help keep Clovis beautiful,” commented Parks and Recreation Director Russell Hooper. “Volunteers will receive a t-shirt, gloves, and supplies to assist with the clean-up, and breakfast and lunch will also be provided. After lunch, an award ceremony will recognize the three teams who collect the most trash along their assigned routes.”

Clovis’ clean-up event is part of the nationwide Great American Clean-Up hosted by the Keep America Beautiful organization, and the local event is supported through the New Mexico Clean and Beautiful grant program. Interested volunteers may pre-register an individual or group on the City’s website at www.cityofclovis.org/cleanup. Pre-registration is not required to participate in the event.
