City of Clovis to hold open house regarding intersections at 21st & Prince Streets and Commerce Way & Prince Street
In December 2012 the City of Clovis Public Works Committee asked city staff to look at traffic flows at the 21st/Prince Street and Commerce Way/Prince Street intersections. A assessment study of the area has now been completed with funding from the New Mexico Department of Transportation (please see Crash Assessment and Intersection Assessment attached).
Area business owners, residents and the Clovis community are invited to attend an Open House and presentation at 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 9th, 2013 at the Ingram Room of the Clovis-Carver Public Library located at 701 N. Main Street in Clovis. The purpose of the Open House is to present the study and conceptual options for addressing the traffic flow at these intersections, to discuss the conceptual ideas from the study, and solicit input from area businesses and residents regarding the matter. From this meeting the City will assess if there is a desire on the part of area businesses and residents for the City to address traffic flows at these intersections. Currently no design or construction dollars have been allocated to address any potential changes to the intersections.
Should you have any questions regarding this matter, please contact the City Manager’s office at (575) 769-7828.
