Clovis Mayor to Hold Press Conference and Provide Reaction to this Week’s Announcement by the Air Force Pertaining to Cannon AFB

CLOVIS, NM August 3, 2023 – Clovis Mayor, Michael Morris has invited Curry County Chairman, Robert Thornton, Air and Space Force Civilian Representative, David Robinson, and Committee of 50 President, Sid Strebeck, to join him in providing a reaction to the Air Force announcement this week. A press conference will be held at 9:30 a.m., Friday, August 4th, 2023 at the North Annex of the Clovis-Carver Library, 701 N. Main Street, Clovis, New Mexico.   These community partners will share their reactions to the announcement as well as provide other information regarding Cannon AFB from their various support role perspectives.
