The governing entities of Curry, DeBaca, Quay, Roosevelt, Clovis, Fort Sumner and Portales will be meeting together at 2:00 p.m., June 9th at the Yam Theater, 219 Main Street, Portales, to receive the report of the findings a behavioral health feasibility study conducted by Denver, Colorado based firm Initium Health.
In December 2021, Initium Health of Denver, Colorado, was retained by the governing entities of Curry County, DeBaca County, Quay County, Roosevelt County, the City of Clovis, the Village of Fort Sumner and the City of Portales to complete a behavioral health feasibility study for the area. The request for the study was a result of concerns raised regarding growing mental health and behavioral needs in the area. The proposed facility would provide inpatient and outpatient care for mental health and substance use disorders. Initium Health has been receiving input from many healthcare and behavioral healthcare providers in the area as part of their work.
The public is invited to attend this meeting to hear the results of the study. For questions or more information, please contact Claire Burroughes at (575) 763-9653.
