Join the City of Clovis in Celebrating National Arbor Day, April 30, 2021
The City of Clovis would like to invite the public to join them in celebrating National Arbor Day at a tree planting ceremony at Greene Acres Park scheduled for 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 30, 2021.
The City of Clovis is part of Tree City USA, a program that has been in existence in cities and towns across America since 1976. It provides the framework necessary for communities to manage and expand their public trees. Arbor Day, much like Earth Day, celebrates nature. Its purpose is to encourage people to plant trees in their communities.
“Our park areas greatly benefit from all the beautiful trees we enjoy and which provide us shelter,” advised Parks and Recreation Director, Russell Hooper. “I would like to thank the Board of Realtors for their support in sponsoring National Arbor Day in Clovis this year and invite the public to join us at Greene Acres at 11:00 a.m., Friday, April 30th to celebrate.”
