NMAAA Terminates Contract with Curry Resident Senior Meals Association

CLOVIS, NM (October 31, 2024) – On Wednesday, October 30, 2024, the City of Clovis received notification that Non Metro Area Agency on Aging (NMAAA) terminated the contract with Curry Resident Senior Meals Association (CRSMA) in relation to the meal program they have been providing, which includes meals to the homebound seniors.

NMAAA has asked the City of Clovis to assume responsibility of the meal program, and the City of Clovis is working on a solution to continue providing this service to the senior population.

“The City of Clovis is sorry to hear the news regarding the CRSMA program. However, our top priority is to ensure that seniors in Clovis have access to nutritious meals and excellent service from a meal program that meets the highest standards.  NMAAA is submitting a proposed contract to the City, which we will take to the Commission for consideration to provide meal service for seniors,” advised Mayor Morris.

“The Senior Services Department will work diligently with the NMAAA during the coming days and weeks in an effort to keep services from being interrupted. The seniors are the most important during this transition, and we will coordinate with seniors during this time,” advised Barbara Riggan, Senior Services Director.
