Thornton Street Construction Extending Through Manana Intersection Beginning Monday, November 1, 2021

Beginning Monday, November 1, 2021, K. Barnett and Sons will close the Manana/Thornton intersection to extend their pipeline work along Thornton Street. During this time, east and westbound traffic should follow detours along Duckworth and Horn north to Plaza Drive in order to navigate around the closure.

The intersection is expected to reopen to east and westbound traffic on Thursday, November 4, 2021, but will remain closed to north and southbound traffic until the work is complete in late November. 

In addition, other affected intersections include Llano Estacado/Thornton and North Prince/Wilhite. The work is part of the City of Clovis’ construction of the effluent reuse water pipeline. The public is asked to follow all detours during this time and to seek alternate routes.
